Features

Unusually for an owl, it is possible to distinguish between males and females by appearance. Adult males are completely white, while adult females have black stripes all over their bodies. They are diurnal, living in the Arctic Circle, where there are midnight suns, and feed mainly on small Mammals.

Like cats, their expressions change dramatically depending on the time. Many of them are also very greedy, and will bark at mealtime to ask for food.

Features

It is a hybrid owl made by crossing a Great Grey Owl with a Great Gray Owl, so it does not have a specific scientific name. Its body color is strongly brown, like that of a Great Grey Owl, and its face is very similar to that of a Great Grey Owl.

Features

Features

The name comes from the fact that the white pattern on its face looks like it is wearing glasses. Adult birds also have the same pattern, but young birds differ from adults in that the center of their faces is black and their entire bodies are white.
