Features
The name comes from the fact that it has a frog-like face. Turtles in this genus have two whisker-like protrusions on their chins, and with a maximum carapace length of 40 cm, it is the largest species in the genus Chelonia. The body color is dark gray and inconspicuous, but the carapace on the abdomen has small polka-dot-like spots. They prey on fish, amphibians, insects, and crustaceans.
