Features

This species is slightly larger than the pygmy caiman, growing to a maximum length of about 1.8m. It mainly inhabits shallow streams, but as it grows it spends more time on land, away from the water. It preys on fish, amphibians, and small Mammals. It is very quick when catching its prey, but normally it barely moves.

Features
